Elden Ring could PvP
In Elden Ring we can not only encounter all sorts of enemy immortalism, but also for aggressive PvP players. The so -called invasions make it possible for us and others to penetrate foreign worlds and to put players out there.
Optionally, it is possible that with the help of items, like small red statue or crooked finger of the duelant, willing duel partner can be found. But as a Dataminer has now found out, it could be that we could look forward to an even more extensive PvP mode in the future.
Dataminer discovers PvP ranking system
Straykurtis released a data leak from Elden Ring's source code on Twitter. During the data mining, the user came across different ranks such as "Hunter Rank" or "Duelist Rank" who did not make it into the finished game:

What could that mean? That the ranks cannot yet be found in the game could be a good sign of an upcoming, more extensive PvP mode. Alternatively, it could also be simply deleted content for the PvP content that has so far been present in the game, which the development team of From Software has not removed from the code.
But the Elden Ring fans already speculate in the comments that the ranking system could actually indicate upcoming PvP content. What we can experience in PvP mode has been summarized in this article:

arenas could be brought to life
In the past, players noticed the mysterious colosses that can be found in Limgrave, Caelid and Leyndell. So far, the combat arenas have been closed and cannot be entered so that it could be that the colossens open their doors with a later DLC.
In Dark Souls and Bloodborne it was already possible to use items to infiltrate other game worlds. With a later DLC, Dark Souls 3 gave a PvP arena even after the release. It is therefore obvious that similar PvP content in Elden Ring could await us, but in improved form.
Since Elden Ring has already improved some previous soul mechanics, it could be that the PvP mode will be even better and more extensive than in all previous Fromsoftware titles. It remains to be seen what that could look like.
What Elden Ring does better than its predecessors, we learn here:
It remains exciting whether we can actually expect a PvP DLC in the future, the previous content will be expanded to include the ranking system or that the data found is simply painted. As soon as from software makes an announcement to coming content, you will of course find it on gamro.de.
What do you think: what could be behind the ranking system?
